What are the key differences between the budget football tables and the Garlando brand?

Garlando is a specialist in the field of football tables. They are experienced in manufacturing high quality and reliable products which are built to last. The Garlando freeplay tables have the same quality and professional standards as the coin-operated models. In selecting the table which best fits your needs, we suggest you consider the following:

Type of Use
There are 12 professional models (for serious leisure players, schools and clubs), 3 semi-professional models (for family recreational use) and 2 competition ITSF tables (for training and tournaments)

Size of Table
There is no standard size for a football table but there are some models which are particularly suited to younger children and these include the F-1 and the G-100 which both have height adjustable legs.

Cabinet
All Garlando tables are manufactured from multilayer plywood or medium density fibreboard (MDF) making them extremely strong and hardwearing. The thicker the cabinet the stronger and more long-lasting the table will be.

Legs
As with the cabinet, thicker legs indicate a stronger table. Most Garlando tables use either thick MDF legs with a melamine coating or metal legs with anti-scratch powder varnish.

Rods
Telescopic rods are an important safety consideration when selecting a football table as these prevent the rods from protruding from the opposite side of the cabinet. Rods manufactured from high resistance chromium are stronger and more durable.

Bearings
Roller bearings are used on all of Garlando's professional tables which make play smoother and reduce wear on the rods.

Playing Surface
All models in the Garlando range, with the exception of the G-5000, Pro and Master Champion, are supplied with a plastic laminate playing surface. One of the other main materials used for the playing field is glass but this is a very smooth surface which makes ball control difficult.

Rotating or Non-Rotating Goalkeeper
This is really a matter of personal choice but all Garlando tables stocked in the UK have a fully rotating (through 360 degrees) goalkeeper. On tables with a non-rotating goalkeeper (180 degrees) the goalkeeping rod is located closer to the goal mouth which makes it easier to defend and fewer goals are scored.

Can I store my football table in the garage?

We recommend the storage of your football table in a dry environment. If you need to store the table in a garage or barn where it may be damp then we suggest you purchase the protective cover which is waterproof. You should not store an indoor table outdoors. If you like the idea of having an outdoor table, then Garlando have the G-500 Weatherproof which is made to withstand all weather conditions and is supplied with the waterproof cover as standard.

Are the tables difficult to assemble?

The tables are very straight forward to build. The assembly instructions are clear and easy to follow and can be downloaded in advance from this website. Just go to the product you want to purchase and click the Assembly Instructions link. You should allow around 45 minutes for assembly and will need 2 people. An assembly service is also available.

What is the ITSF?

The ITSF is the International Table Soccer Federation and this organisation promotes the game of table football. Although table football is not a sport, many countries organise tournaments and compete internationally. There are only 5 brands that manufacture tables which are officially recognised by the ITSF and on which the major competitions are played. Garlando is an ITSF partner.

Do all your tables conform to EU safety regulations?

Yes, every table manufactured by Garlando complies with the EN safety regulations.

How much space do I need for my football table?

Although there is no standard size, football tables usually measure around 145 cm long by 80cm wide. In addition to this, you need to allow for the fact that the rods protrude on either side and more space is required at the sides of the table than at the ends as this is where the players will stand.

How long is my table guaranteed for?

Most Garlando football tables have a 3 year warranty period. The only exceptions are the F-1, F-10 and F-20 where the guarantee is 2 years. The warranty is limited to the supply of parts as recognised as defective by Garlando.
